10 Tips That Will Grow Your Business & Wont Cost You a Penny

You may be surprised to know that you can grow your business without pitching for investment or spending any money. Here are 10 simple, fast growth tactics that won’t cost you a penny if you approach them the right way, with planning and a little creativity.

1. Don’t batch invoice all clients at the same time; invoice individually as soon as the work is complete.

2 Create an employee reward scheme & give your team things they will genuinely like and enjoy when they perform well!

3. Set 6 and 12 month business goals, share them with the whole team & adjust your team strategy & KPIs to align with them so everyone is working towards the same goals and you can measure their progress.

4. When you grow your social media ensure followers visit your website, sign up to newsletters & enter your sales funnel. Don’t just leave them sitting on your social pages.

5. Create quality content: blogs, articles, white papers, social, email. Repurpose on all digital channels in various media.

6. Integrate social media with your non-digital strategy, print & live events to increase its reach & impact.

7. Spend as much time & energy on customer retention as on acquisition. You wont grow if you win 1 customer & lose another!

8. If customers increase the scope of work or it takes longer than anticipated to complete, create a written record & where appropriate increase the fees.

9. Ask your team to log hours spent on actual sales or billable client services. Set goals to increase this each month.

10. Diversify your products & services to extend your reach in your existing market – upsell an add-on to current customers.

If you prefer to make changes a little more slowly then pick the 3 tips above that resonate most with you and implement them this month and then as you see good results your confidence will build and you can work your way through the rest over the next 2 months. If you’re feeling dynamic then get stuck in and make all the changes above that are appropriate to your business as soon as you can, but make sure you are monitoring the outcome of each one and measuring its success so you know what is working for your business.
