He started a one-man data analytics business from his spare bedroom in Bristol in 1993, grew it to 30 staff and 200 sub-contractors in 20 countries and sold it 13 years later to FTSE 50 corporation, Experian. Initially self-funded, he experienced the challenges of various forms of external funding. A Venture Capital investment of £1.6 million in 2000 included setting up an employee share scheme and all shareholders, including every employee, gained a healthy return when the business was sold in 2006. He then moved to Mumbai, India founding 2 Indian businesses servicing clients from India, the Middle East and Europe in areas including light manufacturing, marketing, advertising, analytics, software development, mobile apps and training.

Returning to his birthplace, Canterbury in early 2017 he is keen to work with start-up businesses that are strategically positioned for their next phase of growth. As a recognised expert in UK-India Trade Relations he is actively advising companies from SME’s to FTSE 100 Corporations with their trading interests in the Indian sub-continent.
