The me:now app

The me:now app advertises your favourite local businesses and their time. Let people know what you do and when you can do it. Reach customers who want to take those appointments off your hands.

me:now is for everyone, everywhere, on every device.

Whether it’s your hairdresser, your physio or even your dog groomer, the app only shows businesses that say they’re available.

Customers can follow a favourite business and receive a phone notification when the business says it has a free slot.

Businesses list when they have a diary gap or cancellation. They can share this with anyone looking for their type of business and with their existing customers on Facebook or Twitter.

Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

Full fibre broadband connections offer the fastest and most reliable speeds available, and the government is committed to a vision of a full fibre Britain. As part of this commitment, in March 2018 the £67m Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme was announced.

Vouchers can be used by small businesses and the local communities surrounding them to contribute to the installation cost of a capable connection. One gigabit is the same as 1,000 megabits – so it’s a big leap forward in connection speeds that could benefit you and your business into the future. Full fibre also supports symmetrical connections – meaning your upload and download speeds can be the same.

British Business Bank – Start Up Loan

When you’re trying to start a business, finance can be the key to getting your idea off the ground. But often it can be difficult to find, with lenders sometimes reluctant to serve riskier, early-stage ventures. For those without personal savings or contributions from friends, families or associates to draw on, the result is at best a slow and unsteady start, and at worst no start at all.

That’s why the British Business Bank, through its partner the Start Up Loan company is funding loans of up to £25,000 – available to entrepreneurs, in addition to mentoring and advice, to ensure budding businesses get the best start in life.
