Marketing That Works – Stage 1: Getting the core thinking right
(Please Note: Attendees don’t need to attend all stages, however it would be beneficial to do so)
This FREE workshop is written and presented by Julie Waller and Gerard Jakimavicius, two experienced business professionals, and subsidised by GrowMyBiz (Canterbury City Council).
Most small businesses are passionate about their idea and business, but waste a lot of time, energy and money on ineffective marketing. This is mainly due to insufficient research and planning. By getting the core thinking right first, then the marketing activities become easier and effective. This core thinking is the Marketing Strategy – a potentially complex and deep subject that Julie and Gerard take you through in a simple and logical way that is appropriate for small business owners.
The following steps are covered:
- What is marketing?
- Where does it fit into all the other work I have to do?
- How is it broken down into simple principles and steps?
- Where am I now in each of the steps? Which ideas and solutions are right for me and my business?
- What action do I need to take? And where do I start?
These workshops are interactive, participants get involved in learning to see their own business in a clearer light. Everyone walks away with a clear plan of what needs to be done and where to start. Participants have fun and participant feedback is consistently strong. These workshops run by Julie Waller and Gerard Jakimavicius are popular and spaces are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
